Здравствуйте.
Набор из трёх штук для изготовления косой бейки разного размера я покупала на Алиэкспресс. Обошёлся около 360 рублей.
Прислали просто в пакетике. Сам набор упакован сверху в блистер, внизу — картон. Надписей на русском языке нет.
Вот такой набор пришел
Приспособление для изготовления косой бейки 18 мм

Как использовать я уже смотрела видеообзор и было все понятно.
Мне был нужен только один размер, для изготовления бейки шириной 18 мм, ее я и вынула из упаковки. Отрезала полоску по диагонали 45 градусов и шириной 36 мм, протянула ее с помощью булавки в устройство и начала заутюживать.
Все идёт достаточно быстро. Качество бейки получается хорошее; зависит, конечно, от ткани; но гораздо лучше, чем у покупной из Китая.
Результат: сверху покупная бейка, а клетчатая снизу — самодельная
В основном мне нужна самодельная косая бейка для пошива прихваток и чехлов на стулья. К прихватками нужно ещё подобрать по цвету, готовую найти очень сложно и дорого. А прихватки я в основном шью из того, что есть или что мне принесли.

Плюсы:

Минусы:
- доставка больше двух недель
Ставлю неизвестному производителю пять баллов, к покупке рекомендую.
P.S. С помощью этого приспособления можно изготавливать не только косую, но и бейку, выкроеную по долевой нити . Косую я использовала для пошива прихваток, а прямую для изготовления завязок для чехлов на стулья.

Эти прихватки пятислойные, висят у меня на кухне. Они разные: одна белая с вишнями, другая синяя. Как получилось из остатков
Вторая моя прихватками с вишнями: быстро испачкалась
Давно повелось, что рукодельницы шили прихватки сами из лоскутков. Сейчас все можно купить, но качество готовых изделий отвратительное. Там всего три слоя, один из них синтепон или даже поролон. Знаю несколько случаев, когда женщины перестали использовать готовые дешевые тканевые прихватки после получения ожогов кистей рук.
Памятка для желающих сшить качественные прихватки:
- не шейте из старого. Ткань должна быть новая или почти новая, средней плотности. Льняные прихватки очень хорошо держат температуру
- используйте несколько слоев утеплителя: 2-3 слоя, один из них должен обязательно быть натуральным.
- мои прихватки на фото с кармашками — семь слоев с синтепоном и ватином одновременно. Если нет ватина используйте несколько слоев хлопчатобумажной фланели или байки.
- конечно, шить многослойные прихватки процесс небыстрый. Даже на промышленной машинке с регулировкой скорости я могу за 4-5 часов сшить только пару комплектов.

Такой способ производства косой бейки позволяет использовать её на непрямых (округлых) срезах. Косая бейка укладывается на неровные срезы без складок и без смещения.

Возьмите полоску материала нужной ширины, проденьте ее в приспособление с широкой стороны. Зафиксируйте выступающий край носиком утюга. Далее аккуратно продвигайте приспособление влево, одновременно заглаживая образующиеся складки.

1. Snap the presser foot to your sewing machine
2. You are now ready to insert the main body of fabric that is being bound. Slip it between the two edges of the binding into the center groove of the plastic portion of the presser foot. You should now have a bias binding sandwich. You can pin the rest of the bias tape to the fabric.
3. Once in place, check that the needle lines up where you want. If you need to adjust, you can either use the left or right needle positions, or you can adjust the smaller screw at the back of the foot which will allow the whole plastic portion, and the fabric it now holds, to move to the correct position. Make sure you tighten this screw back up again or the results won’t be pleasant!
4. You can now sew away, making sure the binding and fabric feed together through the presser foot.
5. Once you have completed your binding, you will need to snip away any excess binding and pull the work to the back of your sewing machine to remove it without damaging your work.
