LG Air Conditioners and Energy Solutions is a division of LG Electronics that specializes in the manufacture and sale of air conditioning and air purification systems for both
private and industrial applications. The division also produces energy-saving products: solar panels and lighting systems, as well as the «smart home» system.

The production of the first LG air conditioners was opened in 1968, when the company still bore the name Gold Star. Subsequently, some products were developed with the support of specialists from
General Electric Corporation.

The air conditioning unit was originally part of the LG Digital Appliance. In 2009, it was singled out as an independent unit of LG AE Company. The company has appointed six regional leaders for
Europe, the CIS countries, the Middle East, Asia, Central and South America and China. To date, production has been established in China, South Korea, Turkey, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia,
Brazil and Vietnam. For the Russian Federation, systems are delivered from factories in China, South Korea, Turkey and Thailand.

  • 1968 — the first GoldStar window-type air conditioner was launched.
  • 1985 — the first GoldStar inverter split system in South Korea was announced
  • 2001 — the world’s first design air conditioner ARTCOOL was launched
  • 2004 — the company is the first in the world to cross the line of 10 million air conditioners produced
  • 2008 — the company was the first in the world to cross the line of 100,000,000 manufactured air conditioners and is the absolute leader in sales of household split systems.
