Новый В-Класс – образец безопасности. Несмотря на компактность В-Класса, оптимальную защиту пассажиров обеспечивает концепт кузова «сэндвич» (такой же как и у А-класса), а также системы ASR, ESP, рулевой ассистент STEER CONTROL (применяемый впервые и являющийся новым шагом активной безопасности от Мерседес-Бенц), набор подушек безопасности и многое другое.

Новый В-Класс – очередной смелый шаг в развитии автомобильного дизайна. Яркие черты экстерьера В-Класса: броская, широкая решетка радиатора, оригинальные фары. Стремительность форм во всем: от клиновидного капота до изящной «купеобразной» линии крыши и атлетичной задней части.

Несмотря на компактность, внутреннее пространство В-класса вполне сопоставимо с внутренним пространством S-класса!!!

Новый В-класс будет оснащен двумя дизельными двигателями (B180CDI, B200CDI), мощностью в 109 и 140 л. с., а также четырьмя бензиновыми двигателями (В150, В170, В200, В200 TURBO), мощностью в 95, 116, 136 и 193 л. с. соответственно. Автомобили с дизельным двигателем, а также В200 TURBO будут оснащены шестиступенчатой коробкой передач в базовом исполнении, а автоматическая коробка передач сопоставима со ВСЕМИ двигателями.
