  Chapter 1 Introduction Thank you for purchasing WAP-4033. The WAP-4033 supports both IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g standards. You can use it to connect an existing WLAN, or to build up a new wireless LAN. Except for essential AP mode, WAP-4033 also provides AP Client/ Bridge/ Repeater and WDS (Wireless Distributed System) modes to accommodate all kinds of network topology.

  Keep the number of walls or ceilings between AP and clients as few as possible. Otherwise the signal strength may be seriously reduced. Place WAP-4033 in an open space or add additional WAP-4033 as needed to improve the coverage.

  If there are no 802.11b devices connected, or if connections to all 802.11b devices are denied, the WAP-4033 can operate in 11g-only mode, and its data rate should actually 54Mbps. Enterprise or Campus Users 

In an enterprise or campus area, some mobile users may need a continuous 
network connection; by installing the WAP-4033, mobile users can always 
surf on internet by installing a wireless card in their notebook or PDA.  The 
roaming capacity allows users to connect to the network to transparently 
roam from one access point to another.

Wireless ISP 

The first solution for distance in a mile is simple with PLANET’s wireless 
devices.  Being wireless is required and the provided bandwidth can be up to 
54Mbps. By installing the WAP-4033 equipped with omni-directional antenna 
in the user’s neighborhood, all users around the access point can be easily 
connect to Internet through the access point if they also install  a wireless PCI 
card or a WAP-4033 in Client mode.

LAN to LAN or LAN to Multi-LAN

Wiring inside your own building perhaps is an easy job, however, it is hard if 
network cabling needs to go through some public areas or difficult wiring 
environments. The WAP-4033 can work in bridge or repeater mode to 
provide a robust solution for connecting two or more buildings together.

пока получилось пробить лесополосу линк практически через деревья уровень сигнала 30%

еще точно не приюстировались, сегодня вечером еще сводить будем..

вот некоторые данные:

длина линка — 1300м

высота подъема антен — (точка 1) — 8м. (точка 2) — 6м.

антены спутниковые диаметр 55см.

стабильная скорость 200кбайт/сек (тоталкомандер)

скорость по Planet (12мб/сек)

режим работы точка 1 — AP(planet wap-4033), точка 2 — Client-Infractructure(Planet wap-4033)

тепература на улице -18 -22

Бюджет если хотите знать.

Planet WAP-4033 (2шт.) — 1470+1470=2940р.

Чашка от спутниковой тарелки (диаметр 55см.)(2шт.) — 390+390=780р.

Излучатель (биквадрад) — фольгированый текстолит 45р. лист * 2 =90р.

Герметичный бокс — 150р. комплект * 2 = 300р.

Сборка, текстолит нарезали на части для биквадрата припаяли бортики, изготовили сам биквадрад (испотили столько проволки!!!) из медной проволки сечение 2,5мм., припаяли через медную трубку от холодильника кабель на 50ом. (очень толстый, сперли у связистов, маркировку не помню), взяли черенок от лопаты отрезали 10 см. просверлили там отверстие по диаметру кабеля, прикрутили собранный биквадрад шурупами (подтай) к этому черенку, благо черенок как раз по диаметру как спутниковый конвертор, установили на уголках бокс от микроволновки с тыльной стороны поместили туда Planet провели все необходимые комутации (питание, езернет, и коксиал) закрыли и для надежности укрепили крышку саморезами, ну вот пожалуй и все…
