A készülék az öntesztet végrehajtja, és a végén kiírja a címben megjelölt hibakódot, és felszólít az újraindításra.
Ha nyitott állapotban bootolom fel,akkor megjelenik a diagnosztikai kijelzőn az ikonsor is halványan, de azt írja, zárjam le a lapolvasót.
Ha becsukom, akkor ismét hibaüzenet, és tovább nincs lépés.

Tudja valaki, hogy mi az a PIS board? 
Abban gondolkodom, hogy a levilágító panelen van a hiba. A képbontó ák. első erősítő eleme zárlatos, v. gerjed. 
Jól jönne valami beindító segítség. Jó helyen tapogatózom?

Közben rábukkantam a szervízkönyvére, és fel is töltöttem.

Epson DX8450-es nyomtatómhoz vettem önreszetelős patronkészletet. A gépben levő 4db patront mind kicseréltem az újakra, de nem akart beindulni egyik szín sem! A tisztítóprogram többszöri lefuttatása után sem nyomtatott, sőt még az a kevés tinta kiíródott, ami az előző patronokból a fejben maradt! Ezután megpróbáltam ismét kivenni és szemrevételezni. Meglepve tapasztaltam, hogy a patronok szájára ragasztott cellux fólia ugyan átlyukadt a beszereléskor, de a tinta nem kezdett lefolyni a fejbe (egyik színnél sem)! A patronok szája teljesen tiszta és száraz volt!Lehet, hogy valamit rosszul csináltam? Mit kell még tenni egy ilyen önreszetelős patronnal beszerelés előtt? Vagy patron hiba? …de mind a négy? Ha valaki tudna segíteni, kérem válaszoljon!

A tárgybéli nyomtató először azzal kezdte, hogy kifogyott a kék patronja, Csere után a piros patronra panaszkodott. Azt is cserélte a gazdája.
Cserék után nem nyomtat kék színt. Hozzátartozik, hogy nem állt hosszú ideig üres kék patronnal a gép, tehát úgy gondolom, hogy nem száradhatott be a fej. Az igaz, hogy utángyártott patron lett bele téve, de előtte is azzal — és olyan típussal — működött.
Azóta már panaszkodott — átmenetileg — a sárga patronra is, a berakott kékre is, aztán elmúltak ezek a hibajelzések, csak a nyomtatási kékhiány maradt meg.
Nem tud valaki valamilyen «központi reset» kódot, amivel újralehetne inicializálni a gépet?! Vagy minden egyéb ötletet megköszönnék.

Azóta az a változás: hogy folyamatosan patronhibát jelez (sárgát és feketét). Kicserélve a sárga patront, semmi változás, továbbra is a sárga és a fekete patront rossznak minősíti. A feketét így nem is cseréltem…

 In this Epson L1300 Service Manual consists of six chapters and one Appendix. Chapter 1 contains a product description that provides an overview and specifications of the Epson L1300 printer. In Chapter 2 contains errors and troubleshooting instructions on the Epson L1300. In Chapter 3 contains how to disassemble and assemble the Epson L1300 with complete detailed images. Chapter 4 contains the adjustment method and how to do it properly according to the instructions approved by Epson. In Chapter 5, there are ways to care and how to prevent damage to the Epson L1300. Summary

Operation Buttons
The printer has the following four operation buttons.

  • Power Button: turn the power of this unit on/off.
  • Paper Button: in motion (release error), in idle (load and eject paper)
  • Ink Button: start initial ink charge or head cleaning.
  • Cancel Button: in motion (cancels the job execution or release error).

Buttons & LEDs on the Epson L1300

Indicators (LEDs)
Three indicators (LEDs) are provided to indicate settings or printer status.

  • Power LED (green): indicates power on/off.
  • Paper LED (red): indicates paper error.
  • Ink LED (red): light when the maintenance error occurring.

Operation Buttons and LEDs Functions
Detailed information on the buttons and LEDs functions.

Press the Power button
Printer status: On/Off
Function: Turns the power On/Off.

Press the Paper button
Printer status: On
Function:

  • When the condition is Idle, loads and ejects the paper.
  • When the following condition, loads the paper by pressing this key. Release the error display and continue the procedure if the paper loading is success. Example: Paper Out Error, Multiple Feed Error, Ink waste pad near end error.
  • When the following condition, ejects the paper by pressing this key. Release the error display and continue the procedure if the paper ejecting is success. Example: Paper jam error.

Press the Ink button (press 3 seconds or more)
Printer status: On
Function:

  • Runs a head cleaning (press 3 seconds).
  • Runs a Initial Ink Charge (press for more than 3 seconds).

Press the Cancel button
Printer status: On
Function:

  • Stop printing, and cancel the job of print.
  • When the error occurs, it cancels error release & stops printing and ejects the paper if it exists.

Press the Paper + Power button
Printer status: On
Function:

  • Print nozzle check pattern after normal Initializing procedure is done.
  • If initial ink fill is not done, execute only initial ink fill. Printer does not print nozzle check pattern.

Errors and Remedies
Error: Fatal error
Cause: When the unit detects an error which is impossible to work correctly.
Solution:

  • Turn off and restart the unit. If occurs repeatedly, it must be repaired.

Error: Ink waste pad overflow error
Cause: When the ink waste fluid comes full.
Solution:

  • Turn off the unit. Change the absorber in the printer enclosure by a service person. and write EEPROM’s data.

Error: Ink waste pad near end error
Cause: When the ink waste fluid nears full capacity.
Solution:

  • Press the Release error key.
  • By pressing the Stop key, it cancels print data.

Error: Paper jam error
Cause: When the paper loading or paper ejecting is not success.
Solution:

  • Remove paper and push the Release error key to continue.
  • By pressing the Release error key, ejects the paper and continue the procedure if the paper ejecting is success.
  • By pressing the Cancel key, it cancels error display and cancels print data and returns from error status.

Error: Cover open error
Cause: The printer cover is opened when draft printing.
Solution:

  • Close the printer cover.
  • By pressing the Stop key, it cancels print data.

Error: Paper out error
Cause: Failure to load paper to print.
Solution:

  • Set paper and push the Release error key to continue.
  • By pressing the Release error key, feeds the paper and continue the procedure if the paper feeding is success.
  • By pressing the Stop key, it cancels error display and cancels print data and returns from error status.

Error: Multiple feed error
Cause:

  • When the paper is ejected without printing.
  • When the fed paper size is longer than the specified value during duplex printing.

Solution:

  • Reset the incorrectly ejected paper and push the Release error key to continue.
  • By pressing the Release error key, feeds the paper and continue the procedure if the paper feeding is success.
  • By pressing the Stop key, it cancels error display and cancels print data and returns from error status.
