Вихревые расходомеры газа серии YEWFLO представляют собой интеллектуальные датчики расхода и предназначены для измерения объемного расхода жидкости, пара или газа. Вихревые расходомеры пара измеряют частоту вихрей с помощью вихреобразователя, внутри которого находятся пьезодатчики, преобразующие вибрацию вихреобразователя в электрический частотный сигнал.

Последняя модель вихревых расходомеров газа  серии YEWFLO, называемая digitalYewflo (DY), принципиально отличается от предыдущей версии тем, что в ней применяется новая уникальная цифровая электроника, использующая разработанную фирмой Иокогава технологию спектральной обработки сигнала «SSP». Благодаря этому, вихревой расходомер пара теперь постоянно анализирует вибрацию, состояние среды внутри себя и, используя эти данные, автоматически подстраивает режимы обработки сигнала, а также вовремя информирует оператора или устройства верхнего уровня о нештатных режимах потока и вибрации, если таковые возникают.

У модели вихревого расходомера газа digitalYewflo также имеется модификация, обладающая способностью одновременно с расходом измерять через встроенный в виреобразователь термометр сопротивления еще и температуру рабочей среды. С помощью этой функции теперь вихревой расходомер пара может самостоятельно рассчитывать и выдавать массовый расход при измерении расхода жидкости и насыщенного пара (в память электронного блока «зашита» зависимость плотности насыщенного пара от температуры).
      Кроме того, 2 выходных сигнала (токовый 4…20 мА и импульсный) позволяют вихревому расходомеру газа передавать на верхний уровень одновременно информацию как о расходе, так и о температуре рабочей среды.
