5. To install the positive and negative power wires, strip 1/4″ of insulation from the end of the wires, insert the wire into the

quick-on connector (supplied) and crimp securely with proper tool. Connect the red wire to «+12V» position and black

wire to the «NEG » position of the connectors on 3599L5. The «+12V» position may be connected either directly to a

+12V source (such as a battery), or through a switch (such as an ignition switch). Special care should be taken if the

3599L5 is connected directly to a battery as it will always have a small current draw, even in standby mode (up to 180

mA). If it is necessary to leave the car off for long periods of time (5 or more days), a battery shut off device may need

to be installed to prevent the siren from draining the battery.

  • 6. The unit is supplied with an eight-position, pluggable connector (color green) for the other connections. Insert the wire into the connector and tighten the screw at these appropriate connector positions: a. Speaker – the siren is designed to operate with one 11-ohm impedance speaker (100W) or two 11-ohm impedance speakers (200W). Speakers are not included as part of the siren.
